I beginning. I speak only little english.
Если ты имела ввиду "Я только начала", то правильнее будет I (just) have begun. I speak a little English.

I like she very much
Не she, а her , т.е. I would like to see her in Germany. I like her very much.
Thanks for you!
Margo
I have many occupation
I have many occupations
Margo
this permits me to do what I wish
Надо let или allow. Я бы даже сказал не what I wish, а whatever I wish

Ok, what do you think about telling stories??? Let me start: I came here half a year ago, and first time didn't know any russians. ANd once me and my parents get to the swiming pool, where were..... 12 russians+all my family! and by the way, this area wasn't russian, it just was luck. ti's not funny, but i'm stil wondering, how it's possible!

Starik
14.02.2006, 05:47
To be honest with You I would rather not deal with russian immigrants especially who has came to USA 10-15 years ago. Like old proverb says: "The worst enemy of an immigrant is an immigrant who came earlier". Of course I miss russian community but as a matter of fact I just try to avoid them. Only immigrants who I communicate with are "new wave immigrants" - GC lottery winners.

Yutta
28.02.2006, 01:21
But my situation is a little bit sifferent, because i came here half a year ago, and I miss my friends a lot. So it's naturally, that I try to find someone russian here, and it makes me really happy!!! My mother told me, that it wll change, but I hope it won't. Why do you try to aviod russian immigrants? And why russian immigrant, who came earlier, can be the @worst enemies@? FOr me it doesn't make any sense!

Spectre, thank you very much for your correktion letter. What's the USA like?
When you go on holiday to Russia?

This is my story :

I am Russian, but I live in Germany now. I live here three years. I study psychology now. This's hard. It's especially difficult to read,to hear and understand a lot of things in German and in English. My dictionary is German-English:)
I usually get up at 8.30 in the mornings, drink a lot of coffee called Gala Edushe with milk and sugar and train by bicycle to university. That's near my flat, about 20 minutes by bicycle. I know any new friends here. Some peoples are from Switzerland and from Germany, the another peoples come from Georgia, Russia and Bulgaria.
In the evenings I sometimes cook a dinner. But often I watch TV or read, for example William Maugham, his short stories. He like me, he is a great writer!:)))

Greeting:)
Bye bye.

д.) - можете смело говорить о нем "он" или "она" (he or she).

Hello everybody. Lets take some russian verses and try to put it in english. Here is my farvorite verses:
Andrey Dementiev

Don't sorry about anything trying to turn it back,
If that that had happened can't be change.
Like a letter from the past crumple your sadness
And broke the line to this past.

Go on.

dmitriy

The verb "have" in English have the meaning "haben" in German and the meaning help verb too. For example I have never been in the USA.
When the verb "have" get the verb "got", then it is means "have of things or life objects". For example: I haven't got any cars.

I must decide whether or not I should take English course next semester. The reson for that is that I do have a lot to learn in Psychology. When I finish my exam I will get a post final exam vacation and probably will be able to visit Russia. I already lost 8 lessons in the English course and if I go visiting Russia then I will lose all the course in English and that is not good too.

Proper way of saying it about the car is " I do not have any car " rather than "I haven't got" is not appropriate rather "I haven't gotten" is more in use instead of "haven't got "

Me, I think that yoga is a very good method for self-perfection, but I'm very lazy for it. Once upon a time I was occupied with it, but soon leaved it.

My teacher of yoga is very good. She is a specialist, she learned that . She is a sport teacher too. But she is too much in that. She is a mediator of right yoga philosophy. I am not. I will to do only a bit or a lot :) exercises.

My yoga’s teacher is very good. She is a specialist, because she studied it. She is a gym-teacher and mediator of Right yoga philosophy as well, but I am not. I am not exercising often.

Thanks, Irinaremiz:)

My yoga's teacher is a mediator of Right yoga philosophy, but I don't like that. I think, it was a reason, therefore I don't visit yoga to day.

Sorry, that is not the way you write it:

It must be cold outside, if the water is frozen... ( or "froze up" or
" if the is frost on the grass or the walkway" )

The sky is getting lighter each day from now on , it must not be longer now until morning time( "mustn't "is more like an old American slang and it's not so commonly used in writing but could be used by someone talking to another person and was used a lot at the time of the "wild, wild west" )

I'm not sure what you mean...it doesn't make any sense to me.

-mustn't is the reduced form of "must not"; however, it is not shortened very often because it sounds awkward (and like vladirys said, uneducated maybe).

I read now about English breakfast:
a traditional English breakfast is with fruit juice, followed by cereal such as corn flakes served with cold milk, fruit and sugar.
You might also have bacon and eggs or smoked kippers. Finish your breakfast with tea or coffee.

What is kippers like?

I find how do in England our bliny:)
pancakes:

90 g flour
a pinch of salt
two eggs
2 tbs cold water
2 1/ 2 tbs milk

I have very many books in English. And to day I have to take them back. For example:
English Proverbs.
I write any proverbs now for you:
Deeds are males, and words are females.

He cannot speak well that cannot hold his tongue.

Empty vessels make the greatest sound.

Ask no questions and you will be told no lies.

A still tongue makes a wise head.

Silence gives consent

When in doubt do nowt

Of two evils choose the least

Laugh and grow fat

Care will kill a cat

Where one door shuts another opens

Better an open enemy than a false friend

Out of sight, out of mind

A good husband makes a good wife.

Don't quarrel with your bread and butter

Where no fault is there needs no pardon

Every little helps

Let sleeping dogs lie

Any port in a storm

Studentochka, some years ago one person has explained me the difference between "must" and "have to" in normal english speech. You say "have to" mostly in the meaning "vynuzhdena chto-to delat'". In the other cases it's better to tell "must".
Ach, da! I eschjo. You can't say "very many" - it's a mistake. The right is "a lot of"

I have at home only a bit books in English. I take any English books from library.

At home I have the following English books:
There are: Conan Doyle. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes", Jane Austen Persuasion.
The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald.
But these books are too difficult for me.

I have a book English lernen mit Witzen (English learn with joke). This book is o, key for my level

Solomon,
I like Lew Tolstoy Anna Karenina, I read it any time. It is always different.

And yesterday I found the English book, that I can read now:

The Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde.

I suggest we read together.

I write here.

I write fast:)

The Canterville Ghost

A haunted house.

Canterville Chase was an old country house in England.
When Mr HIram B. Otis, the rich American businessman, decided to buy it, everyone told him he was doing a very foolish thing. There was no doubt that the place was haunted. Even the owner, Lord Canterville himself, told Mr Otis about the ghost.

studentka добавил(а) 1188279949:
"We haver not lived in the place ourselves, " said Lord Canterville, "since my great-aunt went mad, which happened when two skeleton hands were placed on her shoulders one evening as she was having dinner. I must tell you, Mr Otis, that the ghost has been seen by several living members of my family. After the accident to my aunt, none of the younger servants would stay with us. And my wife, Lady Canterville, often got very little sleep at night, because of the strange noises that came from the corridor and the library.

studentka добавил(а) 1188280130:
Mr Otis, however, just laughed, and bought the house. A few weeks later he and his wife, their oldest son Washington, who was twenty, their fifteen-year-old daughter Virginia, and the twin boys, aged nine, moved in to Canterville Chase.
When they arrived at the house an old woman was waiting on the steps to meet them. This was Mrs Umney, the housekeeper. She had worked in the house for Lord and Lady Canterville.
"Welcome to Canterville Chase," she said, and took them through the house to the library for tea.

dreams...

Let`s go Brazil in our mind,
in Rio, maybe, we will find
each other,if you are agree,
then close your eyes and folow me...

We`ll fly like birds -,with closing eyes
we`ll fall like shining stars from skys,
We`ll swim,like fish,without dress,
It will be more than happiness !

And on the bicycles, we will
fly to the moon, that shining steel,
Until your mouth smiling few
I`ll smile really such as you !

And later on the Brazil beach
in Rio,maybe, you will teach
me German language, by Rammstein,
and it will be so good and fine !

You really don`t know, how it`s fine
to think about "you are mine" !
And if you really want to be...
then close your eyes and follow me !
