The court hearing for civil charges will be heard this coming Wed, Sept 5, 2012 Richmond County Courthouse at 10:45 AM. At that time evidence will be presented and the court will decide whether or not the seized poodles will be returned to her at her 'kennel' where approximately 85 poodles still remain....... or whether they will be released. They are currently being held in quarantine at 3 local shelters pending this outcome. Reputable rescues are ready to take them into their care where they would receive the medical attention and homes that they deserve. She is the wife of Richmond County Extension Agent Kelly Liddington and this is not the first time her breeding business has been under investigation.

She has also been charged with counts of animal cruelty. Those criminal charges will be heard on Sept 21, 2012 and specifics are also available online.

FYI VA State Trooper Jody Creasy and Vet Dr. Joyce Cunningham investigated Liddington/Dalin Kennels and Trooper Creasy has been subpoened.

Please mark this on your calendars and try to attend the first hearing. We need to show that we care about the neglected and abused dogs here in the VA Northern Neck and surrounding areas.

Judge Bondurant convicted her on civil charges:
She has been ordered to pay $6,500 for boarding charges for the poodles seized and held in 3 shelters since Aug 13th, 2012..

The 48 poodles will be sold to satisfy this amount and not returned to her.

The judge did not allow her to claim the $200 vet bill for one of the seized poodles.

She had far too many dogs in her kennel exceeding state law.

She deprived them of water for 12 to 14 hours.

Wire cages were 18 by 18 by 18 stacked 3 high and housed 2 to 3 poodles per cage. Excrement fell through to the others underneath. Poodles were covered with fecal matter and urine. The odor was noticeable from the road.

The cage bottoms were wire allowing the dogs feet and nails to protrude through through.

Cages had wide openings at the top of the side portion allowing heads or extremities to become stuck in the openings.

Trooper Creasy did notify her per VA law of these deficiencies in the conditions.

Trooper Creasy submitted many photos documenting the conditions of the kennel and dogs housed there.
Judge Bondurant noted that one photo is worth a thousand words.

There had been previous complaints about the conditions there one as far back as 18 years ago.

Judge Bondurant was uncertain what to do with the 85 poodles remaining at her kennel....noting that since she has been convicted of these offenses ongoing inspections will be done. She is trying to get her numbers down giving some to poodle acquaintances.........

Alla, насколько это публичная информация? На PoodleForum.com по этому поводу тишина. Этому есть какие-то причины? Там сейчас идёт шум по поводу 29-и стандартов, сданных в rescue в штате Вашингтон. Многие негодуют «почему же те, кто знали, не расхватали "лишних" собак». Теперь у них есть вполне реальный шанс таки "расхватать", но вокруг ти-ши-на. Поразительно!

Информацию рассылали многим заводчикам/хэндлерам и просили рассылать дальше. Она пойдет в суд в декабре для уголовного дела. Ведь это уже третий раз. Почему это не обсуждается на PoodleForum.com я не знаю, я там бываю очень редко… про стандартов инфу получала…

Больше всего меня шокировала новость, что в августе один из российских заводчиков продал туда щенка той пуделя …..

Да уж, занимается разведением с 1965 года, причем достаточно успешным разведением , той ее разведение Dalin Sultan 1-ый в классе 12 & Under 18 Months Dogs на РСА 2012 и при етом такой кошмарный puppy mill.:diablo:
P.S. Как же получилось, что из России тоя ей продали, ведь информацию о ней можно прочитать уже с 2008 года на интернете.

Предполагаю это был дружеский обмен племенным материалом, не обращая внимания на такие «мелочи»….. :shuffle:
