The standard doesn't call for a shelf but it does call for a pelvis to be slanted at 30 degrees./
/...a flat pelvis - а pelvis with a shelf. It is useless for a good working dog. A flat pelvis will cause a dog to have NO drive from the rear. It will appear to have drive, but the hind legs can't get underneath the dog to really drive. They just fling out behind the dog and look flashy./
