Вот только другого я не поняла. Если:

- то при чём тут клыки в десну\нёбо?

Речь шла о повреждении нервных окончаний как одной из негенетических причин гиподонтии. А про клыки это я вспомнила... Может быть и не к месту, а может быть что и да.

Different inheritance modes were found for tooth agenesis. Sometimes, it is caused by environmental factors such as; infection, different kinds of trauma in the apical area of dentoalveolar process, chemical substances or drugs, radiation therapy or disturbances in the jaw innervations, but in the majority of cases, hypodontia is impacted by genetics.
