Hi, my name is Donatella Mainardi and i am the president of the Italian bicolor poodle club (Club del Barbone Bicolore Italiano

Some of you already know me, others not.
I am writing this note about the FCI circular letter 49/2012 dated 30 august 2012 with the new dispositions that preclude the possibility to use the name “Poodle” in any official Bicolors document and the conseguent proposal to registred them like different breed other than poodles colours already recognised.
I am asking myself why we, members and rappresentative of bicolor clubs worldwide, are not trying to start a collaboration/partnership and a discussion group to found a middle point that rappresent all of us and all our clubs for try, after it, to have our Bicolors recognised by FCI like POODLES.
I really believe that untill this round table, we will be never able to do it.
We are follow different goals and direction and in that way FCI will found more and more excuse to refuse the recognition.
Some clubs are willing to use the FCI logo in their bicolor poodles official national papers because their national FCI clubs agree on that, but instead of help other clubs in other country to obtain the same success, they ignore the big problem outside their borders with the direct conseguence that ended up with the last circular letter from FCI.
We all know that bloodlines of our Poodles are all the same: we are ALL poodles.
We can’t accept to be recognised like a different breed than solid poodles because the conseguence of that genetically wise will be a lack of genetic pool and the limited possibility to work versus a good selection in the future.
We can’t accept this because it will be the death of our beloved dogs selection and the increase number of health problems related to the limited genetic pool in our future dogs.
In the same why, we also can’t accept to start partnerships with clubs different than FCI because it will be again just give to the FCI an excuse to didn’t accept the recognition before or later.
The “war” for the recognition just started now with this circular letter and this is the right moment to start a common politic and stay all togheter to get what our dogs deserve.
We, like Italian bicolor poodle club (Club del Barbone Bicolore Italiano
www.cbbi.it ), are open to discuss options and start partnerships with others clubs interested to work all togheter to obtain the recognition of our wonderfull dogs.
Only by being togheter we will be able to change the situation.
I wish to established a round table or discussion involving several participants worldwide for be recognised by FCI like a serious and strong group of people/breeders/lovers that simply ask what our dogs deserve: the final recognition like Poodles, not like a different breed.
